- What to Expect
Our experts in physical, occupational and speech and language therapy can offer treatment, techniques and tools to:
- Help prevent deconditioning/loss of muscle due to bed rest and treatment complications.
- Assist a patient with regaining mobility and strength.
- Improve a patient’s communication skills after injury or loss of function.
- Maximize a patient’s independence in activities and daily living.
- Educate caregivers on ways to provide care for the patient in the home, including a home safety evaluation and assistance with equipment needs.
Once your physician has determined that rehabilitation is required for your care, you’ll receive a written request for evaluation and treatment. From that point, we’ll communicate with your physician regarding his or her plan of care for you.
Soon after, you will receive a phone call to schedule your first appointment, at which you and your therapist will decide on goals and desired outcomes of therapy. Appointment hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:30 am to 7:00 pm. Appointments last for thirty minutes and we will make every effort to ensure you are seen by the same therapist at every visit.
