Middlesex Hospital became Connecticut’s FIRST Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence in 2001 - only the 35th hospital in the United States to earn the coveted Magnet award!
The Middlesex Hospital Department of Nursing was designated as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for Excellence in Nursing Services.
The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) puts it this way:
“Recognizing quality patient care and nursing excellence, the Magnet Recognition Program provides consumers with the ultimate benchmark to measure the quality of care they can expect to receive.”
What does Magnet mean to Middlesex?
