Endocrinologists are concerned with the study of the endocrine, or ductless gland. The endocrine system includes the hypothalmus, thyroid, pancreas, adrenal, overy and testis. The Section of Endocrinology, Department of Medicine, specializes in the evaluation and treatment of general endocrinology, including diabetes. Ongoing educational services are available to individuals with diabetes that promote self-maintenance and provide training in the lastest techniques for injection, insulin pump therapy, and managing diabetes during pregnancy. Educational services are also available to individuals with endocrine problems.
