Hematology / Oncology

Hematologists/oncologists treat individuals with diseases and disorders of the blood, such as leukemia, and individuals with tumors, most notably cancer. The Cancer Center at Middlesex Hospital is staffed by surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, and radiologists, and includes an active research program that affords patients the most up-to-date treatment available. The Center is approved by the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the National Cooperative Group CALGB (Cancer and Acute Leukemia Group B) supported by the National Cancer Institute.
