Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center Offers Special Program for Children

February 06, 2008

The Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center is offering a special program, entitled, CLIMB (Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery), for children who have parents or grandparents living with cancer.

The CLIMB Program offers weekly, two-hour group meetings, during which conversation and art are used to help children identify and appropriately express complex feelings about having a loved one with cancer. They are given their own workbook to capture their progress, which they can share with their family at home. The program is free and is held at the Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center,

536 Saybrook Road
in Middletown.
