When to seek immediate medical care
See a doctor immediately if:
- Fainting
- Pale skin
- Sweating
- Fast heartbeat
- Shortness of breath
- Abdominal pain
When to make a doctor's appointment
Make an appointment to see a doctor if:
- Occurs repeatedly
- Other changes in stool frequency or consistency
- Unintentional weight loss, night sweats, or fever
- Diarrhea just before or after passage of blood
- Fatigue
